Sharing and reciprocity

From the community, for the community.

Balaio Solidário brings together non-perishable food and essential goods to share with people and families in the Brazilian community who may need them.

Donations collected at our public giras are part of this ongoing community practice. Within their means, people can contribute an item and take part in this circle of sharing.

Being unable to contribute materially does not prevent someone from being welcomed by the Casa.

How it works: from donation to collection

Dates shown in the animation are illustrative. Each edition is announced by email to registered participants.

Community partnership

A place to come together and share.

We are developing a partnership with ABRISA, the Brazilian Association for Social Development and Integration in Australia, which will make its premises available for Balaio Solidário sharing events.

The idea is to arrange collection as a small community market, where registered participants who have confirmed their attendance can choose the available items they need.

Register to receive email invitations to upcoming Balaio Solidário editions. You only need to register once; when a new edition is organised, we will send the details and an invitation to confirm your attendance.

Register

Registration does not guarantee a place or the availability of items. Each edition depends on donations, resources and the Casa’s capacity to organise it.

Receiving support does not require a financial contribution or participation in the Casa’s religious activities.
